The song “You Raise Me Up” has an interesting backstory – it was originally released by British band Secret Garden in 2002, and didn’t make an impact at all. A year later in 2003, Josh Groban covered it which became hugely popular in the US. It wasn’t until a few years later when Westlife covered it, that it took off in the UK, having travelled round the world 🙂
