Written on 1814 “The Star-Spangled Banner” is the national anthem of the United States of America. The letter notes below are good for beginners on flute, piano, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, guitar and more 🙂

G-E   C     E      G   ^C
Oh, say can you see
^E  ^D    ^C      E-F#    G
By the dawns early light
G          G   ^E-^D   ^C      B
What so proudly we hailed
A     B     ^C-^C      G        E  –  C
At the twilights last gleaming?

E                 G            C          E         G       ^C
Who’s broad striped and bright stars
^E              ^D  ^C-E-F#    G
Through the perilous fight
G         G    ^E-^D     ^C         B
O’er the ramparts we watched
A           B   ^C-^C-G       E – C
Were so gallantly streaming?

^E    ^E    ^E-^F    ^G    ^G
And the rocket’s red glare!
^F       ^E       ^D-^E   ^F  ^F
The bombs bursting in air!
^F         ^E         ^D        ^C       B
Gave proof through the night
A         B     ^C     E      F#      G
That our flag was still there.

G     ^C   ^C  ^C-B     A      A  –  A      ^D-^F  ^E  ^D-^E-^C-B
Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave    ~   ~
G      G  ^C-^D ^E ^F# ^G
O’er the land of the free
^C    ^E     ^E   ^F  ^D    ^C
And the home of the brave?
