In honor of the upcoming film (looking forward to seeing Emma Watson as Belle!) I’ve transcribed the letter notes (to the best of my ability :P) for the intro reprise of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. I hope this is helpful to beginners playing any instrument, not just the flute 🙂
Belle:
F# G B A-F# G E F# A F#-A
There goes the baker with his tray, like always!
D E G F# D E B A
The same old bread and rolls to sell
A – B ^C – A B ^D G
Every morning just the same
G A Bb – G A ^C F
Since the morning that we came
F G A F – G – D E
To this poor provincial town….
Townsfolk:
F# G B A
Look there she goes
F# G E F# A F#-A
The girl is strange, no question
D E G – F#- D E B A
Dazed and distracted, can’t you tell?
A – B ^C A B-^D G
Never part of any crowd
G A Bb G A ^C F
Cause her head’s up on some cloud
F G-A-F G E F-D E C D
No denying she’s a funny girl, that Belle!
