What do the dashes between letters mean? Play those two letters at the same time or just faster?

Hello writing this for people in the future. Dash just means more notes in 1 word. For example, let’s take the song let it go – Frozen where it says A kingdom of isolation. It says E-G-G-E which means you should play E let go of E play G let go of G and play E again under the span of isolation. Remember to use your pedal
