"Army Dreamers" is a beautifully written, heart-felt song speaking about the losses of war. I've posted this to mark the 100 year anniversary of Armistice Day, the day World War 1 ended a century ago.

A lovely song with a gentle melody, I hope you enjoy playing the letter notes below.

.B-C#  D-E  F#-A  B
Our little army boy

B    A-B         A       F#    E-D-E-C#
Is coming home from B.F.P.O.

.B   C#    D     E     F#-A        B
I've a bunch of purple flowers

F#    A-B-A    F#     E - D       E-.B
To decorate to mammy's hero

.B-- C#       D     E       F#-A-B
Mourning in the aerodrome

F#      A - B          A - F#    E    D   E-.B
The weather warmer, he is colder

.B-C#   D    E   F#-A-B
Four men in uniform

F#   A-B      A      F#    E-D    E-D
To carry home my little soldier

D            D       E    F#
(What could he do)

E               D          E      D      E - D
(Should have been a rockstar)

^D  ^C#  ^D-^C#
But    he     didn't

^E    ^D  ^ C#-B    A   F#  A-F#
Have the money for a guitar

D             D      E     F#
(What could he do)

E                 D         E     D   E-D-E-D
(Should have been a politician)

^D  ^C#  ^D-^C#  ^E
But   he    never     had

^D  ^C#-B   A-F#-A-F#
A   proper   education

D             D      E    F#
(What could he do)

E                D        E      D     E-D
(Should have been a father)

^D ^C# ^D-^C# ^E-^D  ^C#  B
But   he   never   even   made   it

A    F#     A-F#
To his twenties

A       F#     A
What a waste

^D-B     A - F#
Army dreamers

A-F#    A   F#    A     F#
Ooh, what a waste of

^D-B     A - F#
Army dreamers....
