Originally sung by Gene Autry in 1947, this children's Christmas classic has also been sung by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Doris Day, The Beach Boys, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Bob Dylan and Chicago.

It has appeared in TV and film, being performed by the Glee cast featured in the Disney sing-a-long film 'Very Merry Christmas Songs' and appearing in a bunch of other Christmas movies too.
