Hey Gompol, thanks for the suggestion! It’s a song i know well and really like, so it’s a great candidate π I’ll let you know when it’s done π nat
Hey Alice, thanks for your suggestion π
You’re the 2nd person to request this so clearly there’s a demand for it! Please give me some time to learn the song a bit better and work out the notes, and i’ll let you know when i’ve done it.
Until then, i hope you enjoy the other songs on this site π
natHi SV, thanks so much, i’m so happy you enjoy my work π I grew up with Westlife playing on the radio so will definitely be able to work something out for you. I’ve got a bit of a backlog with requests so I may take a while, but will let you know when I add them π Until then, I hope you continue to enjoy the other song here! nat
Hey Amy, thanks for your feedback on “Who Am I”, if you let me know where im off i’ll correct it with thanks! I find the lower / spoken kinda songs really tricky to work out so would appreciate any input to make it better π π
Re “Stars”, it’s a lovely one! Will do it happily for you π (it may jump the queue, it’s one i’d like to do and this is meant to be fun right?! π ) I like Russel’s version better, but i think that’s because i heard it first! Philip Quast has a clearer, more powerful voice for sure π What’s your preference!?
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Les Misness too! I keep playing them through along with all the Phantom stuff (my first love :D)
Will let you know when it’s done π
natThanks Alfy, gimme some time on this (behind on songs!) and i’ll let you know when ive worked something out for you π nat
Hey Cat, thanks for your suggestion π
Unfortunately I can’t really cater to lyric-less music π
I usually write the notes above the lyrics to help the player work out what part of the song they are on, and also to provide timing information. Without the lyrics, itβs just a bunch of A-G letters, which is why iβve not done many like that.
I did the Mario theme in that format to test the water, but the general feedback i got was that it was confusing to read unless you know the tune 100%. I hope this explains my reluctance towards writing out the instrumental songs, although if you can think of a better way of presenting it, iβm always open to ideas ?
Iβve said the same to other requests for the Harry Potter theme, Star Wars etcβ¦ I think itβs just a bit beyond what i can offer at the moment. Best I can suggest is to grab the sheet music and write the notes on there – i can’t really do that for you due to copyright issues etc, the tunes i do here are my interpretations.
Let me know if you have any other (lyric-based!) suggestions, util then i hope you enjoy the other songs here π
natHey Carrie, will check it out π i am getting behind, thank you for being patient with me π nat
Hi Kelly, thanks for asking and sorry for any confusion!
All it means is to play the note in the higher octave – the idea was to make it clearer if the note is a lower (.C) medium (C) or higher (^C) in octave.
If you imagine a keyboard, i’ve labelled the letters like this:
.G .A .B C D E F G A B ^C ^D ^E
< --low--|-----mid-----|--high-->I hope that helps to clarify a bit, i’d love any ideas or suggestions about how i can make it clearer for everyone to use π π Perhaps i need to turn that mini keyboard above into a real pic..?!
Anyway, any ideas or questions, let me know π
natWooow that’s so cool Amy! i’ve been thinking about the sax too! (‘careless whisper’s fault!) how are you finding it?! It’s a reed-based instrument right?! I have no experience with those at all which is what’s making me nervous about jumping in! would love to hear you experience π
Absolutely π I left the multi-choice thing enabled to allow for cases like that, where you may wanna tick more than one for different instruments! I knew there’d be a tricky one haha π What are you learning?!
